About the Cowichan Valley
The Cowichan Valley is in southern Vancouver Island, on the west coast of British Columbia, Canada. It has Canada’s only maritime Mediterranean climate, and the warmest year-round temperatures. The region takes its name from Quw’utsun’, an aboriginal word meaning the warm land. It is a peaceful area, close to nature, uncrowded, and affordable, yet close to shopping, recreation, health, and other services.
